Randy Waldrum remains confident the Super Falcons will bounce back from WAFCON’s disappointing opener against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana.

The defending champions suffered a 2-1 loss to tournament favorites at Stade Moulay Hassan in Rabat on Monday.

It was the third loss to South Africa for the 9-time champions in the competition’s history.

Speaking at the post-match conference, Waldrum said he will analyze the players’ performances and make necessary corrections in subsequent matches.

“We can’t panic at this time, we still have two group games and we have to improve.

“We will analyze and review the individual performances of the players and make the right decisions in the upcoming games,” the 65-year-old said.

The Falcons need to beat Botswana and Burundi to have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stage of the tournament.
