Stakeholders raise young people’s awareness of wealth creation

A real estate company, Relevance Group, Lagos, has educated some young Nigerians on the need to have a wealth creation mindset wherever they are.

Speaking at a wealth-building summit titled ‘Lagos Real Money’, held at KICC in Maryland, Relevance Group co-founder Dr Sunday Olorunsheyi said that if young people had a wealth creation mindset, this would encourage them to engage in income generating activities.

The summit was part of the activities marking the 10th anniversary of the Relevance Group.

Participants were guided on how to recognize real-time opportunities and make appropriate long-term investments with the possibility of business mentorship by experts.

Olorunsheyi, who spoke on “The Mind of a Rich Man,” said, “For a good investment; mentoring, salesmanship, risk taking, visionary and giving are qualities that a good investor must have to be successful. Real estate is the future of wealth in Lagos, it is the only sector in the country that has not suffered devaluation but rather appreciated significantly over the past few years.”

Commissioner for Youth and Sports of Oyo State, Mr. Seun Fakorede advised the participants to always read good books and have a learner mindset.

Additionally, Relevance Group co-founder Wisdom Ezekiel, who spoke about ways to identify opportunities, said young people could create solutions in the form of products.

“Move from skill to trade, move talent to skill, to trade and create awareness,” he said.

Renowned inspirational speaker, Niyi Adesanya, added “Your strategy should be based on facts, data. Know what a large majority of people are doing that makes them wealthy in their region and industry.

”To be rich, you have to follow statistics and be consistent, consistent in integrity, in performance.”
