The People’s Democratic Party candidate for Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency in Osun State in the 2023 general election, Mr. Sola Arabambi, said that the recent meeting with the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar , again united the party with Osun. State.
Atiku on Wednesday in Ibadan met Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde; former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose and other party actors in the South West.
Arabambi, who spoke in an exclusive interview with Saturday PUNCH also said that the PDP had experienced a new lease of life since winning the last state gubernatorial elections.
He tasked the people of the Federal Constituency of Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan to ensure that a male candidate is elected to represent them in the National Assembly.
He said, “The meeting with our presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has a positive impact on our party in Osun State and we will continue to improve ahead of the 2023 poll.”
On the need for a man to emerge to represent the constituency, he added: “It is the empowerment of women that is usual. But in the federal constituency of Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan, it is the emancipation of men that people are demanding.
“We currently have the third woman in this office and people, including key stakeholders, are saying we should have a man in the seat in 2023.”
