idol manager celebrates its impending launch with a new trailer. Playism and GlitchPitch offer another take on business simulation.
You take on the role of manager in a small (but growing!) talent agency. As you cultivate and train the next generation of young pop stars, you will have to decide who to hire and who to fire, who will be promoted and who will be reprimanded. The personal lives of these young celebrities are part of your business, and the life of a pop star doesn’t always mean sunshine and rainbows. Their successful personal accomplishments may be your greatest business successes, but their emotional meltdowns and public relations nightmares can spell financial disaster for your business.
It’s not just the idols you have to worry about. The world is full of gossip magazines, superfans and rival groups, all hungry for the scoop on the latest scandal. There are a lot of people out there who want to bring you down and are ready to play dirty, but try not to let that bring you down. It’s nothing personal, it’s just business.
Provide vocal training and dance lessons to the idols you spotted and train them to become top notch idols. Do you want a cool band or a cute band? Will the office monitor what it posts on social networking sites? Or how long should their skirts be? You decide.
Lyrics, musical arrangement, choreography, number of singers per group, who will be in the foreground? The players themselves will have to make the tough decisions, produce the music and the CD, and then release them. Of course, watch the funds you have before you find yourself in the red!
Your Idol’s job isn’t just about singing and dancing at concerts. They may appear in magazines, on television, or in live internet broadcasts. Compete against a wide variety of media to grow your fan base!
In addition to releasing single CDs, you can freely run a cafe, theater, general election, program production, and many other types of businesses. However, there is a limit to your funds. Be careful not to become a restricted operation and watch your income!
Complicated human relationships
Idol management is full of problems, such as scandals, media manipulation, and interpersonal relationship issues between idol group members and strangers. To avoid risks, build good relationships and aim for smooth office management.
The story is set in the Japanese entertainment industry, and many events take place outside of the main storyline. You can even marry your idol! How this story ends is entirely up to you.
Free play style
Free play without a scenario can also be used to avoid random events and love scandals. There are two unique difficulty levels: ‘Relaxed’, where you can’t go broke, and ‘Unfair’, which makes it harder for players to make ends meet.
Overcome various obstacles and create the best idol agency in Japan from scratch!
