Nevada City, California – At the Nevada City City Council meeting on July 14, 2022, the City Council provided direction to implement the City Manager’s recommended process for a community strategic plan for the city. This plan will inform the way forward for the City politically and strategically. The involvement of a wide group of stakeholders, including:
- Companies / Investors
- Non-profit organizations
- Faith-based organizations
- Education and community organizations
- Social justice and human rights groups
- City visitors
In addition to internal collective meetings with employees and elected officials, the City will host workshops open to all on the various topics applicable to strategic planning, including:
- The City’s mission statement
- The City’s vision statement.
- City values statements.
- Community service expectations and views on existing service
- Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the city
- Critical issues for the city
- Service gaps in the city
- Strategic initiatives for organizational improvement
Workshops are scheduled for Wednesday, August 3rd and August 17e from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with separate topics at each meeting.
